Wedding Ceremonies |
You can hold your wedding ceremony on the lawn at Solitary. It removes much of the fuss regarding the use of two venues, and you won’t find a view much better than ours. Champagne and hors d’oeuvres can then be served on the lawn immediately following the ceremony…..so your guests are being looked after while you take advantage of the spectacular views for your wedding photographs. |

Menus |
Our menu is based on the freshest seasonal produce available and consequently changes often. As to what is available in the month of your wedding, we would confer several weeks prior to the event. We offer a choice of two options per course served as alternates.
Minimum food spend is $4400, which includes a 3 course meal for 55 guests. |
Cocktail Receptions |
These are offered for numbers larger than 60. |
Canapés |
Canapés can be served outside in the garden as you and your guests enjoy the view on arrival. Please see our sample cocktail menu for a list of hors d'oeuvres available. |
Cost per head |

Wines |
Solitary offers a pay as you go option for beverages, so you only pay for what you and your guests drink. A 5% discount is offered on our list price if more than 55 adults are drinking alcohol. |
Other alcoholic beverages |
Solitary is fully licensed. If you have any special requests, please ask and we’ll make sure we have it in stock. We can keep a tab or guests can pay as they go for spirits and liqueurs. |
Bookings |
You can book your function or wedding for lunch or dinner any day of the week subject to approval of the management. |
Seating capacity |
Up to 60 people in the restaurant. At Solitary we can only accommodate groups larger than 60 in a cocktail style function. |

Seating arrangements |
You should provide name cards if you want them. We will give you a table plan prior to the day so you can make seating allocations. |
Live music |
If you book out the restaurant, you may like to arrange to have live musicians to play at your wedding or function. Please ask us if you would like our advice on some wonderful local musicians. Solitary requires notice well in advance of the event of any performers you are intending to employ or have perform at your function. All loud music must cease at 10.30pm due to National Park restrictions. |
Recorded music |
If you book out the restaurant, you can bring your own CD’s, or an ipod that we will play for you. At Solitary we have a good selection of jazz and classical music. |
Dancing |
We can hire a dance floor, heaters, lighting and sound for your function on request. Dancing is not permitted inside the restaurant. |
Wedding cake |
Wedding cakes can be made by arrangement. |
Deposit |
We require a deposit of 30% of the total fee excluding alcohol to secure the booking. The deposit can be paid by bank cheque or by direct deposit to our bank account. In the event of cancellation of your function, this deposit will be retained by Solitary in accordance with the following paragraph.

At least 2 months prior– $440
Less than 2 months and more than 1 month prior- $660
Less than one month prior- your deposit will be forfeited. |
Balance of fee |
The balance of the total anticipated fee for the wedding must be paid one week in advance of the event.
