Functions ~ Marquee

The Solitary site offers several options for functions:

Solitary Restaurant
The main body of Solitary is made up of a central room and two adjoining verandahs. Each room has a view to the Jamison Valley and Mount Solitary.

Seating capacity - 55 people.

Solitary Kiosk
The Kiosk is a smaller room adjacent to the restaurant which is generally used as an informal café during the day, and a private dining room in the evenings. The Kiosk is tastefully decorated with interesting historical anecdotes and memorabilia from the restaurant's past 90 years. It is approximately 4m X 4m and has a full glass door which opens onto the garden and allows postcard views of the Jamison Valley.

The kiosk may be booked for small functions or in conjunction with the restaurant.

Marquees

There are several options available for using a marquee in Solitary’s front garden at your function. All marquees quoted for are white with clear sided walls. White silking and flooring is available at an extra cost. Solitary will be solely responsible for the booking and arranging of all marquees and hire for your function.

For functions of over 55 up to 90 people, a small marquee (5m x10m) is erected directly outside the restaurant. The marquees used are sympathetic to the venue and do not impact negatively on the light or view inside the restaurant. Photographs of the marquee are available on our website or on request by email. The marquees have clear side walls for weather protection. (The kiosk cannot be used for seating, when the marquee is used as the kiosk becomes the entry area to the marquee).

For larger functions of 90 – 145 people, a large marquee (20m x5m) may be erected by Solitary in its grounds to be used either as the sole venue to seat up to 90 people, or in conjunction with the restaurant for larger functions of up to 145 people. The 20m x 5m marquee has clear sided walls and four pagoda rooves, affording uninterrupted views of the valley for all your guests both inside and outside in the marquee.

Tables - $20.00 per table (seats 10 people)

Chairs - $04.00 per chair (for numbers over 70)

Chair covers - $05.00 per chair

Silk lining - $6 per square metre ($330 for 5x10m marquee and $660 for 5 x 20m marquee)

Flooring - Timber - $440 per 50m2 or $800 per 100m2

Black carpet tiles - $275 per 50m2 or $550 per 100m2

Lighting and Electric leads- $120.00 for 4 lights, $240 for 8 lights

Mushroom gas heaters - $140.00 each

Crockery, cutlery, glassware - $160.00 for up to 80 people, $320.00 for up to 100 people, $480.00 for up to 145 people

A firm quote will be prepared, should you wish to book a large function at Solitary.
