Functions at Solitary

Solitary is an amalgam of an astonishing site, passion and inspiration.

Solitary enjoys one of the most fortunate sites in all the Mountains; its dining room and garden offer the most magnificent views imaginable. The space, the minute-to-minute play of light on the valley and cliffs and the changing cloud-scape are awe-inspiring and uplifting.  

We cater award winning cuisine for small to large functions, either indoors or under a marquee in our garden.  We will work closely with you to create an event  that will be your most memorable dining experience in the Blue Mountains.

Note: All options include an hors d'ouevre on arrival, fresh bread and coffee or tea.

Midweek groups
Midweek groups may choose the limited options from the current menu.

Weekend groups
Weekend groups will be offered a limited menu for approval, seafood choices will be subject to Solitary's approval.

Exclusions - Groups over 15 may not choose souffles.

Seating capacity
If you're planning a function larger than 55 people, we can accommodate you under a marquee in the garden. Please see our information about marquees.

Private Dining Room
Seats 12 people.

To 'Book Out' Restaurant *
45 people mid week and weekend lunches
55 people Saturday night or Sunday night of a long week-end
Minimum of 3 courses

*If the restaurant is 'booked out' by a group, they must pay for the requisite amount of meals (as above) whether or not they actually fill those spaces.

Venue Hours

Lunch - 12 noon to 4.30pm
Dinner - 6.30pm to 11pm

Late stay fee
A charge of $250 per hour or part thereof will apply if guests stay beyond the regular operating times stated in Venue Hours.

Deposits
A deposit is required to secure a large booking. The deposit should be 30% of the total expected food costs.

ie.  Deposit for booking for 30 people @ 3 courses = 30% of (30 x $79)

Week-day lunches or Monday and Tuesday nights
We will open the restaurant for groups of 20 or more subject to approval and prior arrangement with Solitary management.
